Dr. Pak is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician with over 20 years of experience in patient care. He was the owner and operator of the Allied Institute of Medicine in the San Antonio and New Braunfels area where he had 7 Medical Clinics, Wellness Center, Hospitalist Program, House Call and Tele-Health Programs. Dr. Pak is thrilled to be back home in New Braunfels to offer the highest quality healthcare in South Texas.

Dr. Greg Taylor, M.D.

Dr. Taylor attended the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry.  He went on to obtain his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.  He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland AFB, Tx.  He then went on to serve his country as a staff Internal Medicine Physician at Elmendorf AFB, AK and Eglin AFB, Fl.  He also deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  He has over 15years of experience in clinical and hospital medicine and most recently served as Chair of the Department of Medicine at St Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, Wi.  He has also served as Associate Professor for both the University of Washington School of Medicine and the Medical College of Wisconsin where he taught medical students during their internal medicine clerkship rotations.  He has further distinguished himself as a Fellow in the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Taylor is now returning to provide care to the community he calls home.  He has a special interest in caring for the geriatric community as well as those with complex or multiple medical problems.  Overall, he wishes to improve the health and therefore the lives of the patients he cares for.  He plans on partnering with his patients so that they can be educated and empowered to make positive lifestyle choices and sound medical decisions.  He looks forward to meeting and getting to know you as we work together to improve your health.

Dr. Filomeno Gonzalez, M.D.

Filomeno Gonzalez, Jr., MD is driven to make a positive change in healthcare delivery for seniors. Dr. Gonzalez attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Economics. After completing his deployment in Germany as a Captain in the Field Artillery, he pursued his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Specializing in Family Medicine, he completed his residency from the University of Nebraska Medical Center as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska in Omaha.

Dr. Gonzalez is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. He has practiced medicine in New Braunfels for over ten years and plans to continue his passion of providing excellent care and practicing preventive rather than reactive medicine. He looks forward to partnering with you to optimize your health care needs.

Dr. Anthony Bienek, D.O.

Dr. Anthony Bienek was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating high school, he attended UTSA where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Bienek attended medical school at Touro University School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. His job is to provide high quality medical care in order to keep his patients healthy, so they can enjoy their lives. When not seeing patients, Dr. Bienek enjoys art, history, and spending time with his wife and 3 boys. Dr. Bienek looks forward to meeting you and guiding you to optimal health.

Dr. Brien Wofford, D.O.

Dr. C. Brien Wofford was born and raised in New Braunfels, Texas. After graduating high school, Dr. Wofford graduated from University of North Texas Health Science Center -TCOM in 1999. He completed his residency in Family Practice in Fort Worth. Dr. Wofford has been practicing medicine in New Braunfels over 20 years, he enjoys spending time with his wife Joanne and 5 children. Dr. Wofford is excited to join Pak Medical Group and looks forward to continuing to care for the people of NB.

Gabrielle Turner, PA

San Marcos Office

Gabrielle Turner PA, desires to work together with people of all ages. Her passion is to assist her patients in taking better care of themselves to improve their quality of health and enjoyment of life.  Gabbi became a physician assistant almost 20 years ago.  Gabbi has a diverse background, including experience in Cardiology, Emergency and Urgent Care, as well as ten years in Family Practice. She is thrilled to be a part of Pak Medical Group!

When Gabbi is not improving the lives of her patients, she enjoys the great Texas outdoors!  You can often find her at a lake or river, with her Jamaican husband and two big dogs, Beckham and Kazi.  They have fun exploring the surrounding areas, finding local restaurants, festivals, and live music.

Chad Roasa, PA-C

Union Avenue Office - New Braunfels

Chad Roasa is a certified Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has delivered quality care and attention to each of his patients since 2011.

Chad was awarded his Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from the University of Nebraska following the successful completion of the Interservice PA Program (IPAP) in December 2010 and began his practice as a US Air Force PA. While focusing primarily on taking care of active-duty military members and their families from all branches of service, Chad also enjoyed the delivery of healthcare to the retired military population. He most recently served as Associate Professor at IPAP where he taught and mentored the next generation of military PAs. Following 20 years of a combination of enlisted and commissioned service in the USAF, he was able to retire and join the Pak Medical Group in June 2021.

Chad and his wife Jamie, along with their 4 children and a menagerie of pets, have been living in the San Antonio metro area since 2016. They have enjoyed the various festivals, amusement parks, food, and outdoor activities this region has to offer.

He looks forward to work in partnership with Dr. Hickson to create individualized treatment plans for each of his patients to maintain their best level of health possible; through the prevention of disease, treatment of active illness, performance of in-office minor procedures, and prescription of medications when necessary.

Christina Mortenson, FNP-C

Christina Mortenson is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner Christina maintains board certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with the Texas Board of Nursing. She graduated from Texas State University with her Master of Science in Nursing FNP. She is a member of the AANP, TNP and HCNP. She is a valued member of Pak Medical Group, and all around superstar. Her patient age ranges 15 and up. Christina believes in a holistic healing approach stemming from collaboration between herself and her patients. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She enjoys gardening. On the weekends, you may find Christina and her family hiking at State Parks with Trooper their German Shepherd. She recommends getting outdoors, trying McKinney State Park for biking, Blanco State Park for swimming and water activities and various other Texas State Parks for hiking trails.

Ashley Courchesne, FNP-C

Ashley Courchesne is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated in 2012 with a bachelors degree from UT health science center and worked in the emergency room for 5 years as an RN. She then graduated from Texas State University’s Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2017 with her Masters of Science in Nursing. Ashley has worked in Family Practice since 2017 and she is a Pro-Pell certified provider. She enjoys all aspects of family practice and has experience with hormone replacement for men and women. Ashley married her husband, Thomas, in 2014 and they reside in New Braunfels, Texas. During her free time, you can find Ashley with her husband, daughter, and golden retriever outside at the river, the park, or local music venues.

Sinead "Shy" Healey, AGACNP

Sinead “Shy” Healey graduated from Syracuse University in 2003 and soon after commissioned as a nurse in the Army. After four years of serving as an ICU nurse, she crossed over to the Air Force Reserves and became a flight nurse. She, her husband, and Air Force pilot, and their four children moved several times during their careers including being stationed in Hawaii. While on Oahu, she attended Hawaii Pacific University and earned her Masters in Nursing with a focus on Adult Geriatric Acute Care. In 2017 the Healey family moved to Texas, where her husband plans to retire. In November of 2020 Shy joined Pak Medical Group and runs our house call program, which serves our patients in local senior living facilities. She ensures our patients receive excellent care in the comfort of their own home. In her spare time she continues to serve as nurse in the Air Force Reserves. She and her family love to go to the drive-in movies and spend time biking at local greenways.
