Dr. Filomeno Gonzalez, M.D.

Dr. Filomeno Gonzalez Jr. attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics. After completing his deployment in Germany as a Captain in the Field Artillery, he pursued his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Specializing in Family Medicine, he later completed his residency from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska in Omaha, NE.
Dr. Gonzalez is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. He has practiced medicine in New Braunfels, TX for over ten years and plans to continue his passion of providing excellent care and practicing preventive rather than reactive medicine. He is driven to make a positive change in healthcare delivery for seniors and looks forward to partnering with you to optimize your health care needs.
Dr. Anthony Bienek, D.O.

Dr. Anthony Bienek was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Texas at San Antonio in San Antonio, TX where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Bienek attended medical school at Touro University School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.
Dr. Bienek’s passion is to provide high-quality medical care in order to keep his patients healthy so they can enjoy their lives. When not seeing patients, Dr. Bienek enjoys art, history, and spending time with his wife and three sons. Dr. Bienek looks forward to meeting you and guiding you to your optimal health.
Dr. John Stanhope, D.O.

Dr. John Stanhope was born and raised in Maine, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Southern Maine. He later graduated with a D.O. in Medicine from Kansas City college of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Stanhope was in the United States Air Force Reserves from 1974-1980. While he was a member of the USAF, he completed his flexible internship at the Osteopathic Hospital of Maine, then went on to the General Surgery Osteopathic Hospital of Maine. Following that, he was a flight surgeon in Dyess AFB hospital in Abeline, TX and later the USAF hospital at Loring AFB in Limestone, Maine. He was honorably discharged as a Major in 1984.
After leaving the USAF, Dr. Stanhope completed a year at Anesthesiology Osteopathic Hospital of Maine, then went on to the York hospital in York, Maine to work as an emergency room physician. After his time at York hospital, Dr. Stanhope practiced occupational medicine at the Osteopathic Hospital of Maine and later practiced family health, addiction medicine, and Osteopathic Manipulative therapy with various practices from 1991 to 2021.
Dr. Stanhope is now happily a part of Pak Medical Group – located in our San Marcos clinic. Dr. Stanhope is delighted to bring his expertise in internal medicine to the San Marcos community. Dr. Stanhope lives in Cibolo with the love of his life, Elaine. He enjoys spending time with their four children and grandchildren.
Dr. James Bartay, MD
Pak Medical Group – Common Street Clinic – New Braunfels, Texas
Dr. James Bartay was born in Bellville, Texas. He attended the University of Texas in Austin, and UT Medical School at Houston, graduating in 1981. He completed a family practice residency at Central Texas Medical Foundation in Austin, Texas. He has practiced in Harlingen, Texas for 4 years with Su Clinica Familiar paying back his Health professions scholarship. While in Harlingen, his two children were born. He then relocated to a private practice in Hallettsville, Texas. He moved to New Braunfels in 1994 and has had a private practice since then. He moved to Pak Medical in November of 2022. He served as Chief of Staff of McKenna Memorial Hospital in 2000. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics. Dr. Bartay most enjoys the long term relationships he has with his patients. He has many multi-generational families in his practice.
Kristen Gathright, PA-C
Pak Medical Group – The Center of Excellence – New Braunfels, Texas
Kristen Gathright is a certified Physician Assistant who grew up in Austin, TX. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Biology from the University of Texas in Austin. She then attended the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX where she received her Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. During her clinical rotations, Kristen spent multiple rotations gaining experience in dermatology, general plastic surgery and head and neck reconstructive surgery.
Prior to joining Pak Medical Group, Kristen practiced Dermatology in Austin, TX where she developed a passion for surgical/non-surgical skin cancer removal, skin cancer screenings, and general and cosmetic dermatology. Kristen treats a variety of skin conditions including, but not limited to, skin cancer, rashes, psoriasis, acne, and general aging concerns. She is certified by the National Commission of Certification for Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Texas Medical Board. Outside of work, Kristen enjoys live music, fishing on the Texas coast and hanging out with her dachshund, Brody.
Natalie Baiamonte, FNP-C
Pak Medical Group – Common Street Clinic – New Braunfels, Texas
Natalie Baiamonte is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and member of the AANP. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University. Natalie spent some time teaching future nurses at Galan College of Nursing, then later decided to go back to school and earn her Post Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Kaplan University. Natalie has been a nurse for more than 30 years and has experience working in the ICU, ER, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Electrophysiology.
In her spare time, Natalie enjoys sewing, quilting, hunting, and fishing. She believes that educating her patients helps them to take control of their own health in collaboration with their Primary Care Provider.
